Factories will move Ghana towards industrialization – Gov’t

Ghana’s government has stated that by establishing factories throughout the country, it will ensure the country’s industrialization.

Since taking office, the Akufo-Addo administration has launched the One District Factory initiative.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo stated that he was determined to transition the economy away from raw material exports and toward value addition, citing the factories as an example.

On Monday, January 17, 2022, the Presidency tweeted that “The establishment of factories and industries, which will eventually lead to increased industrialization.”

“It is intended to increase employment opportunities for Ghanaians throughout the country.”
