Havertz talks after his Premier League debut against Brighton

The German international Kai Harvetz, addresses the media after his debut in the English Premier against Brighton.

Havertz says he dreamed as a kid to play in the Premier League and for a club like Chelsea.

Kai Havertz says he needs some time to adapt to the Premier League.

He adds that he is looking forward to the challenge.

He said,”I am trying to focus on trying to play my best football. I love to play football. That’s why I’m here.”

Kai on his price tag,”Of course, it’s a big price tag, but in football today it is normal to pay these prices. I will not put a lot of pressure on myself because the price tag is that high.”

“I played every offensive position at Leverkusen. But it is very important to have that flexibility on the pitch. My best position is as a no.10. I’m very glad to be here and play against or with the best players in the world.”

Kai,“I am very happy that Timo [Werner] is here. We will have a good German connection in the team. I am very excited to play with him. He is a big friend and when you have a friend in your team it is easier to play football.

Kai Havertz on Frank Lampard:

I watched many games of him as a kid… I think that helps a lot to have a manager who’s played a lot… I’m very excited that he (Lampard) is my Manager.
