New curriculum textbooks will be out in March – Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education has said that the textbooks for the new curriculum will be ready by the end of March according to the MoE PRO on Citi TV’s the Big Issue

According to Kwasi Kwarteng, based on what he has seen and the way the procurement processes are being done, the books will be out by March 2022

“The ministry secured the teachers’ resource pack which is essentially the cumulation or the entire curriculum to enhance teaching and learning activities.

The teacher and learner resource pack are essential to enhance teaching and learning activities. In most jurisdictions, textbooks are supplementary materials, so textbooks are not used in the teaching process.”

According to him, there are materials to enhance teaching and learning, explaining further, he indicated that the ministry provided teachers with teachers and learners resource packs and textbooks are supplementary resource materials

“I have made a lot of contacts with the procurement department and am assuring you that if you look at the pace of the process, am assuring you that by match we will get the textbooks”
