Nigeria Records 87 New Coronavirus Cases As Total Cases Hit 1182

The Centre for Disease Control in Nigeria (NCDC) has confirmed 87 new coronavirus cases in the country, bringing the number of positive cases to 1,182.

The Disease Control Centre released a statement breaking down the number of cases according to the States in Nigeria.

According to the statement, 33 of these new cases were in Lagos, 18 in Borno, 12 in Osun, 9 in Katsina, 4 in Kano and Ekiti, 3 in Edo and Bauchi, and Imo recording the least with One confirmed case as at 11:55 pm April 25, 2020.

Lagos still leads with the most positive cases with 689 recorded.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s COVID-19 cases have increased to 1,550. This is according to the Ghana Health Service’s latest update of Sunday, April 26, 2020.

The updated case count comes after 271 more persons tested positive for the virus. Per the update, one more person has died while 21 additional recoveries have been confirmed.
