A fifty years old man whose name is given as Kwabena Tantantan met his untimely Thursday when he fell from a coconut tree in Saltpond.
According to the report by Accra-based OKAY FM, Kwabena is a known coconut thief who steals from peoples coconut farms in Saltpond and sells to his consumers.
However, luck eluded him when he went to steal coconut at dawn on Thursday, December 17, 2021.
Kwabena is said to have fallen from the coconut tree and landed into a gutter. He is said not to have uttered a word when he landed as he met his untimely death.
Residents of Saltpond who spoke to the OKAY FM reporter indicated that they were not shocked because they have over the years suspected that Kwabena Tantantan had been stealing from peoples farms and wanted evidence.
They expressed their sadness that he died on the day his secret was revealed because they would have dealt with him if they had caught him alive.
