Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has detailed the successes of the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government since it took over the affairs of the country two years ago.
List of Achievements Below:
> Delivered over 676 vehicles, procured 3 helicopters and other equipment to the Ghana police service
> Procured 307 new ambulances for the ambulance service
> Retooled the Ghana Armed forces with new vehicles, ammunition and tools
> Employed a total of 64,770 workers into the health service
> Employed a total of 66,357 teaching and non-teaching staff into GES between 2017-2019
> A total of 181 projects spread across 112 districts at various stages of completion under 1D1F
> Improved agricultural sector by *providing 215 tractors, 231 farm implements, 141 maize shellers, 25 multi-crop threshers, 68 planters and other machinery amounting to a total of $33m in support of Agric mechanization
> Construction of 5 interchanges including Pokuase, tamale, Sekondi, Tema and Obetsebi Lamptey (Abossey Okai)
> 83,000 Ghanaians have been recruited under the Forest Plantation Programme to help restore our environment;
> 200 dams have been completed, and an additional 360 are dams under construction; under the 1V1D initiative
> 50 prefabricated grain warehouses have been constructed to reduce post-harvest losses; and
> 50 rural markets are under construction to enhance trade within our local assemblies.

- We promised to rehabilitate VALCO to resume operations and we have delivered.
- We promised to leverage our natural resources to obtain a $2 billion innovative infrastructure financing arrangement with *Sinohydro* and we have delivered.

- We promised to reduce taxes and we reduced and abolished 17 different taxes in two years. We have delivered.
- We promised to revive the NHIS and we have cleared the GHC1.2 billion arrears inherited under the NHIS.* The NHIS is working again. We have delivered.
- We promised to move away from a predominance of sole sourcing to tendering in procurement and we have delivered.
- We promised to bring about a change from destructive galamsey activities to a more regulated small scale mining activities and we have delivered. Says by the NPP
- We promised to reduce the hardships of the disabled and increase the share of the DACF to persons with disabilities by 50%. We have delivered.
