Coach J.E Sarpong has made it known that the use of marijuana is very prevalent of late among the players of the Ghana Premier League and the Division One league.

He revealed that some players smoke weed before some tough games to get the boost and morale to face tough matches.

Personally, he said that once the weed being smoked by the player doesn’t affect your performance, he has nothing against it and in some cases helps them to win matches.

“It is a bad practice, but if it will win the match I don’t mind. If my team wins the match, I take my winning bonus and am gone. What I will do for my team to win is what is important,” he said.

The seasoned coach JE Sarpong has coached the likes of Accra Great Olympics, Asante Kotoko and Liberty Professional before.
