The 21year old attacking midfielder who scored 19 goals and 8 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions last season is considered key in Frank Lampard team as he plans to build a young team to rule world football for the present and future after securing the transfer of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner who made their debut for Chelsea in a preseason match with Brighton.
Even though the player agreed personal terms with Chelsea before the just-ended campaign, both teams were far apart in terms of the transfer fee as Leverkusen asking price remained €100m while Chelsea offered €70m.
Fabrizio Romano last week reported that Chelsea and Bayern Leverkusen have reached an agreement on a transfer fee of €80m initial fee plus €20m add-ons(10 for regular participation in UEFA Champions League and 10m for trophy-winning).
Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz was missing from today’s training performance test, say reports in Germany.
He has passed a coronavirus test, as refusing to do so would have seen him removed from the Germany national side, but was absent for today’s performance test at Bayern Leverkusen.
Popular German Journalist Christian Falk reported Kai missing performance test as Angelo Mangiante reports a done deal.
