Some angry Ghanaians are venting their spleens on rapper Sarkodie for contributing indirectly to the growing state of insecurity in the country.

According to these individuals, the Sarkcess CEO publicly campaigned for and encouraged Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party and President Akufo-Addo in the lead-up to the 2020 election.

Sarkodie released his “Happy Day” track a few days before the election and actually said he was vouching for Akufo Addo to win the election based on the fact that he had implemented Free SHS and given Ghanaians Free Water and Electricity.

Many believed and felt the song was politically motivated and that Sarkodie had revealed his political colourization. The conversation about why he has refused to speak about the ills of the government like he used to do during the tenure of Mahama was resurrected.

While Sarkodie has tweeted to somewhat condemn the killing that was recorded at Ejura where military and police shot to kill some angry youth, many Ghanaians have asked Sarkodie to eat the humble pie and apologize to Ghanaians for campaigning for the NPP.

According to some of these comments, Sarkodie’s words encouraged many youthful Ghanaians to vote for the NPP so if the country is currently facing some level of instability, he needs to take part of the blame.

John Terry Tresh wrote: This is the Nana Toaso you preached about prior to the elections…. Elections have consequences.

Kobby Founda wrote: You played part in what is happening bro, there’s blood on your hands.

Kumasi Borga wrote: All this issues dey happened because of the “ Happy day “ song!! Nana Toaso
