The cost of tramadol formed the basis for the National Democratic Congress’ March for Justice demonstration, the Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed.
Kwame Baffoe Abronye has rundown the importance of the NDC’s recent protest stating that they organized it because some of their members claimed they could no longer afford tramadol to abuse.
“NDC members are claiming that the price of tramadol has skyrocketed because of President Akufo-Addo”, he said.
Touching the basis of the protest on Wontumi TV, Chairman Abronye stated that after abusing tramadol, most NDC sympathizers stormed the protest grounds to take selfies and eat grilled chicken.
“They went to take selfies during their demonstration. They used stolen money to buy grilled and fried chicken to chill. On that day they demonstrated, there was chicken meat shortage in Accra”, he said.
The March for Justice is led by the NDC youth wing and had the full backing of the Inter-Party Resistance Against the New Voters Register (IPRAN), a group made up of six other political parties who have expressed their support for the cause.
Prior to the event, the National Youth Organizer of the NDC, George Opare Addo explained that a petition will be presented to President Akufo-Addo and the Speaker of Parliament after walking through some principal streets of the capital.
