Covenant Light Chapel International’s founder and leader, Apostle Jerry John, stated in an interview that the Black Stars of Ghana’s current captain, Dede Ayew, can only win trophies if he apologizes to some former senior players.
Apostle John told Michael Agyapong Agyapa on Radio 1 that if Dede Ayew apologizes to the likes of Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, and Laryea Kinston, the Black Stars can do better and win trophies.
Those who have been wronged by Dede Ayew are pursuing the Black Stars, according to the man of God.
In his view, “Climbing to the top he hurt a lot of people and that’s still affecting the team,” he said, “Dede Ayew should apologize to Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Laryea Kingston, and some senior Black Stars players. He has wronged these people, and pain in them is hunting the team.”
“Before the Black Stars can win a trophy, the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Ghana Football Association should contact these players and Ayew should apologize to them.
A draw with Gabon and a loss to Morroco have already put Ghana’s Black Stars 3rd in the group stage of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
