Ben Ephson, a well-known election pollster, has encouraged the National People’s Party (NPP) to dismiss Adwoa Safo from the party.
Adwoa Safo was accused of hindering the passage of the E-Levy by two NPP MPs, Kennedy Agyapong and Michael Okyere Baafi, after claims made against him by the two NPP MPs.
The two members of parliament have accused the MP for Dome Kwabenya of blackmailing the administration on the issue of land reform.
Ben Ephson, who spoke about this claim on Angel Fm today, advised that the party call Adwoa Safo’s bluff and fire her immediately.
He went on to clarify that she couldn’t be obstructing government business while also being entertained at the same time when the party need her attendance in parliament to conduct government business.
Ben Ephson believes that it is preferable for the party to dismiss her in order to conduct a By-election in Dome Kwabenya to elect a new lawmaker rather than trying in vain to persuade her.
Hon. Sara Adwoa Safo has been absent from parliament for more than a year, despite the fact that she represents the people of Dome Kwabenya constituency as a member of parliament.
