Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye DC, the governing NPP’s Bono Regional Chairman, has been given till 4:00 pm to report to the Accra Regional Police Command.
His summons, dated February 15, 2022, relate to remarks he made during an interview with an Accra-based radio station.
On of the party’s outrageous accusations was that former President John Dramani Mahama conspired with Al Qaeda extremists to plot a coup.
According to him, the former president has enlisted the help of #FixTheCountry Convener Oliver Barker-Vormawor to carry out the operation.
Abronye appeared on Agya Wusu’s political chat program “Dwene Ho Bio” on Hot 93.9 FM.
He made these claims in response to Oliver Barker’s recent detention for threatening to “conduct a coup” if the E-Levy law passed.
Hamas and Al-Qaeda conspired to use this individual as a frontman. You know he worked for Mahama? Barker worked for Mahama as a presidential aide. “Do you know?” he said.
Following Mr Mahama’s resignation, Oliver, working with the previous president, organized the coup to return to power, according to Abronye.
Urged about Oliver’s coup threat, the presenter informed Abronye, but the party chairman answered that “those who have the ability and have asked him to do it with their backing is John Mahama.”
When pressed for proof, Abronye replied “John Mahama made him a presidential staffer.” His lord has urged him to attempt the coup since it is the quickest way to regain control. So John Mahama send him?
“The proof is that every time he tweets, it is John Mahama and NDC supporters that back him. John Mahama was the first to tweet that he should not have been detained for threatening a coup.
“That indicates John Mahama begged him to support the coup. John Mahama walks with a coup-like expression. They created the plot in his residence. John Dramani Mahama is the major funder of #FixTheCountry. John Mahama foots the bill for every march in Ghana? he said.
The police stated in a statement that they invited Abronye to help them investigate his claims.
