Afia Pokuaa, also known as “Vim Lady,” is a well-known radio and TV personality. She is worried that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has lost its core values.
He said that in the past, the NPP was known for standing up for the people, supporting free speech, and pushing for democratic principles to work.
But in recent years, the New Patriotic Party has lost touch with its main values because everyone there is greedy and looking for ways to make money off the developing country.
Afia Pokuaa says the party should take a look at itself and work to make sure it goes back to its old values.
“This is what Kwamena Duncan said the other time. The NPP of yesteryears is not the NPP today. I will support kwamena Duncan any day and anytime.
“The NPP fought free speech, the right to demonstrate, the right to…Even the University of Ghana demonstration in which students were shot were things that were masterminded and motivated by the NPP.
The NPP is not the same as it was in the past when it fought for the poor and cared about the people.
Today, the NPP is about how to share money. Everyone there is greedy and will try to make money any way they can. J.H. Mensah what did he get before he died?”
She continued “now all the boys in there are money conscious and will take advantage of everything to make money.
“Even delegates are bold to sit on television and say that party congress they were given GHC 10,000. Even COVID relief money a party executive confessed to having got GHC 100,000”.
