Communications officer of the NDC has accused the Presidency of being behind threats against the life of former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu.
Speaking on Akoma FM‘s morning show GhanaAkoma on Friday, November 20, Sammy Gyamfi, Sammy Gyamfi stated that the ruling government is noted of taking the lives of persons who attempt to expose their corrupt ways citing Ahmed Suale’s murder and Kennedy Agyapong’s connection to it.
“The NPP government is intolerable and will go every length to cover up their dirty deals, so it’s no news to me that Martin Amidu is receiving such death threats right after his resignation”.
“Now we all know that the president is corrupt and superintends over corruption, so if killing Martin Amidu will conceal their deeds then they will do it, hence the death threats by the government.”
Martin Alamisi Burnes Kaiser Amidu is a Ghanaian politician and lawyer who served as Attorney General of Ghana from 2011 to 2012 and then as the First Special Prosecutor of the country from 2018 until his resignation in 2020, citing political interference by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
