Former President John Dramani Mahama says the much talked about Free SHS programme is a legacy of the erstwhile NDC government.
According to him, the policy was launched under his administration as President in 2015.
Speaking at a durbar in Tuobong, a community in the Tempane District of the Upper East Region, the NDC flagbearer said the governing NPP government has however messed up the implementation of the policy with the introduction of the double-track system, something he’ll abolish when voted into power in the upcoming election.
Mr. Mahama explained that he’ll continue the abandoned 200 days schools to make sure that the Free SHS program is properly implemented under the next NDV government.
