Armed Robbers are alleged to have broken into Ekusileni Medical Centre, Bulawayo in Zimbabwe at 4am on Tuesday, where they stole equipment donated by well-wishers towards fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
ZWnews, reports that the robbers got away with, amongst other things, a compressor and borehole components.
Affirming the incident, the police spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube indicated that investigations, were underway and no arrests have been made so far.
Ncube said the thieves broke into the Covid-19 center yesterday morning at 4 am to carry out the operation.
The inspector implored on members of the public with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the nearest police station.
In a separate interview, Bulawayo acting provincial medical director, Dr Welcome Mlilo, said they are still assessing the value of the stolen equipment.
