Simply put, the debate around Yvonne Nelson’s book is still ongoing, especially in light of Sarkodie’s impromptu damage control with his “Try Me” song.
You may recall that Yvonne Nelson detailed in her controversial biography how the Tema-based rapper impregnated her in 2013, resulting in a pregnancy.
In Chapter 8 of her memoir, she describes her choice to abort the pregnancy because the rapper refused to accept responsibility, stating that she subsequently discovered the rapper had another partner who was studying at a university abroad, resulting in his rejection.
Following Sarkodie’s defense, however, opinions have been mixed, with the majority of Ghanaians on social media chastising Yvonne Nelson for being at fault in her previous dealings with Sarkodie, which led to an abortion.

Ruthy, a very opinionated showbiz critic, has remarked that Yvonne Nelson is despondent and needs immediate medical treatment and attention.
According to Ruthy, Yvonne Nelson did not consider the devastating consequences of her memoir before publishing it. Yvonne Nelson is currently estranged from her real mother, owing to the subject of her book.
Also, rapper Sarkodie who got her pregnant and had a subsequent abortion is now a happily married man, but here is the case Yvonne Nelson is still not married at her age – 38.
