Former Supreme Court Justice, William Atuguba would have lost patience and thrown out former president John Dramani Mahama’s election petition by now if he was still at the Supreme court, Charles Owusu of the Forestry Commission has claimed.

According to him the ongoing hearing in court has exposed how unprepared Mr Mahama and his lawyers are.

“If it was the time of Justice Atuguba, he would have thrown this case out; I’m sure…he would not have the patience for these things” he was quoted by Peace FM online.

Meanwhile the Supreme Court on February 8, 2021 was thrown into a state of shock when counsel for the 1st respondent, Justin Amenuvor, informed the court that he does not wish to call any witnesses.

This was met with fierce resistance from Mr Tsikata, leading to a spurrious back-and-forth between the bench and Mr Tsikata.

Mr Akoto Ampaw on his part, argued that he also does not wish to call any witnesses since he is convinced that the petitioner has not adequately discharged the burden of proof.

The Court presided over by Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah ruled that both sides should put together their arguments and address the court tomorrow, February 9 on the issue.
