General Secretary of the opposition NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has rejected assertions that the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin will contest John Mahama for the NDC flagbearer position.
According to General Mosquito, he doesn’t see why Mr Bagbin will give up his post as number 3 to contest a position he cannot be sure of winning.
There have been many rumors concerning the flagbearership of the NDC.
It is still unclear if former President Mahama will lead the Party again.
However, Mr Bagbin’s name has popped up among persons likely to contest for the NDC flagbearership.
But Mr Asiedu Nketiah says he does not believe Mr Bagbin is interested in the NDC race, considering the position he occupies.
