James Kwaku Tuffour who is widely known as Nana Tuffour A.K.A 9924 is a Ghanaian renowned Highlife singer and songwriter.
Nana was born on February 14, 1954, which we mostly regard as Valentine’s Day. Nana’s days were the days where intelligence was much more needed than good looks and no wonder, he won the hearts of many women over the years with his hard work and sweet melodies.
Nana Tuffour grew up in Kumasi and was very fortunate to have had resourceful parents which gave him the upper hand to listen to music from the world whiles at home in Kumasi.
Nana started his musical journey with a group popularly known as “One Man Thousand” with Alex Konadu as their keyboardist.

Nana Tuffour later joined the Wanto Wazuri band as a pianist and due to his sweet voice and unique style of vocalizing, Nana became the frontman for the band.
In his quest of making his own solo album, Nana left the shores of Ghana for Nigeria where he worked with famous Nigerian musician King Sunny Ade as his keyboardist.
In 1979 he released his first album Highlife Romance and has since released twelve other hit albums. He has won many excellence awards and his last album, Abeiku was notoriously popular among the old and the young.
