A report has been gathered by The BBC Ghana and it indicates that fire has destroyed some parts of the Sakumono school complex which is located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
According to an eyewitness who was speaking to Citi News and monitored by TheBBCghana.Com,he stated that;
“When we came out, we realised that the middle part of the school complex was on fire, so I decided to call the Fire Service so as I speak to you the Fire Service personnel are fighting the fire.”
Background
Sakumono is a small town before Nungua from Ashaiman. It is in the Tema Metropolitan district, a district in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
It was originally a small fishing village on a lagoon, but by 2008 is being swallowed up as the twin cities of Nungua and Tema merge. Elevation is 71m. Sakumono is one of the interesting towns, also known as Community 13.
It has the main township which is close to the beach and lagoon. Has a lot of sects of Estate buildings and jurisdiction
