U.S. authorities have confirmed that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce is complete.
As part of their divorce settlement, the court has ruled that the rapper must pay Kim Kardashian child support in the amount of $200,000 per month (equal to GHC2,889,686.00).
As part of the deal, Kanye also gave his ex-wife a $4.5 million mansion. Ye purchased the property just across the street from Kim’s residence after her 2021 divorce petition.
Kanye claims that he made the move so that he could be closer to his family. However, he has now handed it over to Kim since they will both have unrestricted visitation rights with the children under the terms of their divorce settlement.
TMZ reports that as part of the deal, “Kanye will retain his $60 million mansion on the beach in Malibu, 2 ranches in Wyoming, 300 acres in Calabasas, a residence in Belgium, and his boyhood home which he acquired in Chicago.”
Kanye and Kim were declared legally single in March 2022, with Kardashian also dropping “West” from her last name. Now, issues around the division of property and custody of their children were resolved in court documents filed on Tuesday.
The court adds that the two parties should consult with each other on major decisions about their children’s welfare, the documents state. They will also split expenses for the children’s security, school and college.
The estranged couple have four children: North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
