An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Amos Wuntah Wuni has varied its initial order for the Doctor of Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong to appear and explain a report he signed, claiming the lawmaker was suffering from COVID-19 complications.

The Court had initially issued an order for Doctor Ken Addo of the Holy Trinity Medical Centre/Spa to appear before it on October 1.

However, per a varied order of the Court to the medical doctor, it said the medical doctor should now appear before the court on October 6, 2020.

Doctor Addo was ordered to appear before the court last week after the Assin Central MP failed to show up in court for his contempt trial, with his doctors citing sickness as a result of complications from COVID-19.

The controversial politician was summoned to court for allegedly denigrating the court and describing a judge with unprintable words.
