Ghana Black Stars’ 28-man squad in Cameroon for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament is expected to earn $30,000 per player if they defeat Comoros.

Milovan Rajevac, the coach, will also receive double the qualifying bonus for the loss to Morocco and the draw with Gabon, bringing the total to $900,000

Ghana’s chances of progressing to the next stage of the ongoing tournament appear bleak following a loss to Morocco and a point from a draw with Gabon.

Prior to the start of the AFCON, Mustapha Ussif, the Minister for Youth and Sports, revealed that the Black Stars would require $25 million for the AFCON 2022 and World Cup campaigns.

This was disclosed during a breakfast meeting between Corporate Ghana and the CEOs of state-owned enterprises.

At the Jubilee House meeting, these entities discussed ways to raise funds for the Black for the competitions in which Ghana is currently struggling.

They did note, however, that corporate involvement will alleviate the financial burden on the Sports Ministry, allowing it to focus on other sports.
