A new hashtag, #FixTheCountry is currently trending on Twitter as Ghanaian Youth intensify pressure on the Akufo-Addo government to improve living conditions.

The hashtag, trending at number 1 on Ghana Twitter has received massive attention despite efforts by government loyalists to quench the momentum.

A counter-hashtag by government loyalists, #FixYourself was unable to unsettle the momentum by the youth as many more continue to join the campaign.

It is unclear if the campaign will be moved beyond the Twitter advocacy just as we saw in 2014 with the Occupy flagstaff house movement which later became Occupy Ghana.
