Foolish investment in football must stop now

Artiste Manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson known popularly as Bulldog has told the Government of Ghana to desist from wasting investments in football and other sporting activities.

He believes investments made in football is foolish investment and should be redirected to entertainment.

Bulldog made this known in a posts shared on social media after the shambolic showing of the Black Stars at the ongoing AFCON 2021.

Lawrence argues that entertainment is a high earner and healthy contributor to the country’s GDP and the earlier the country comes to the realisation, the better for the country.

“It’s about time we stop wasting our taxes on sports especially football — and invest solely in our music and hospitality sector.All the applause and accolades Ghana has out there in the world presently is owed to our entertainment and tourism industry.Hospitality and entertainment is a high earner and healthy contributor to the country’s GDP.Stop the foolish investment in football now!Invest in the arts,” he said on social media.
