Chelsea’s summer signing from Ajax was making his first appearance for his new club in a friendly against the Brighton and impressed by helping to create his side’s first goal with 4 minutes.
The Morocco international (Ziyech) who cost €40million, was forced off in the second half after appearing to hurt his knee.
The Blues are just over two weeks away from their first Premier League game of the new season and are already dealing with an outbreak of Covid-19 among the first-team squad.
Several players are in isolation and Lampard is facing a selection headache ahead of the first league match against Brighton on 14 September.
Chelsea’s manager, Frank Lampard on the team’s website gave an injury update on Ziyech. Frank Lampard on Hakim Ziyech said;
“He has a bit of a knock on his knee, a little bit of a small twist which we will have to assess, hopefully, it is not too bad, but in the performances, they were both really good.”
