The Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill has sparked controversy in the country since it was presented to Parliament in June.
Although Parliament has received over 100 memoranda in support of or against the Anti-LGBTQ Bill, several religious and traditional bodies are demanding that Parliament expedites processes to pass the bill into law as values of the LGBTQ community contravene the cultural practices of the Ghanaian society.
Amidst discussions to criminalize same-sex-related activities, some Members of Parliament have alleged that they have been denied visas to international countries over the matter.
And now, deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Adjei Mensah has come out to make a shocking revelation about the rise in the prices of fuel after meeting with leaders of the Transport organizations.
Adjei Mensah speaking about the strike that was done by drivers recently revealed that the country is now facing the issues of fuel price increment due to the fact that Ghanaians failed to accept LGBTQ+ in the country.
He further revealed that there was no way that the government of Ghana would be able to decrease the price of fuel in Ghana largely due to our stance on the issue of LGBTQ+.
