Kojo and his wife have been married for 7 years. They have two children; Ama and Kwame Oppong Nkrumah. Kojo, 36, is regarded by many as one of the best journalists of his generation.
Pope Johns and University of Cape Coast alumnus worked with Multimedia Group for ten (10) years, quickly rising through the ranks to become the host of Joy FM Super Morning Show. In 2014, he quit broadcasting to go into politics.

In 2015, he contested and won the NPP parliamentary primaries for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He later won the parliamentary seat during the 2016 elections.
