An actor and human rights activist from Ghana named Efia Odo has slammed her coworkers who went on social media to complain about how the cops beat up peaceful protesters.

For the second day of the #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest, people like Efia Odo, Bridget Otoo, John Dumelo, EL, and others are at the 37 Military Hospital.

The protest began on Thursday, September 21, which was also Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, an event that is celebrated all over the country.

Organisers chose this date on purpose because they thought it would represent the strength and determination shown in past battles against oppression and displacement.

But the protests got worse when Ghanaian police arrested protesters and onlookers without a warrant and used too much force to try to stop the rallies. In response, Ghanaians kept speaking out against these actions and got lawyers to help those who were being held.

???????????????????? ???????? is a Ga (language of the people of Accra, Ghana’s capital) phrase meaning ‘Child of a Thief’, a loose reference to the ruling Executive, who the people believe have negligently driven the country into a mess.

Efia Odo dared her colleagues to stop hiding behind their keyboards to protest and join them on the streets where the real action is happening.
