Sarkodie, a rapper from Ghana, has been the subject of much online discussion and criticism after releasing a cover of Bob Marley’s iconic love ballad “Stir It Up,” with some people saying he didn’t do the song justice.

The head of Sarkcess Label has been the target of multiple claims and backlashes in recent weeks, all of which he has chosen to ignore.

Reggae singer/songwriter Blakk Rasta is vehement in his belief that Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie dishonored Bob Marley’s memory.

On his 3 FM broadcast, Blakk Rasta agreed with Mr. Logic, a talent manager, that Sarkodie’s version of “Stir It Up” was nothing exceptional.

Osofo Kyiriaboso has come out in defense of Sarkodie after recent criticism, arguing that recent events prove that Ghanaians are exerting every effort to get Sarkodie reinstated as the country’s most popular musician.
