Dr. Awal Mohammed, the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, has given the Cultural Oneness Festival, a division of The Taste Of Afrika Ltd., his complete support.
At the Cultural Oneness Festival, which is planned for December 6 through December 9, 2023, in Ghana’s Northern Region, numerous initiatives will be carried out to promote the sector.
According to Dr. Awal Mohammed, the Cultural Oneness Festival’s idea would make sure that other parts of the country, notably the northern ones, benefit from the vast range of events taking place in Ghana to end the year.
“Most of the activities usually happen in the southern part of the country and we feel the northern side has been left out. We want to bring the country into one unification and celebrate the event,” he stated.
When representatives from The Taste Of Afrika, the festival’s organizers, paid him a courtesy visit at his office, Dr. Mohammed made the statement above.
The Taste of Afrika’s CEO, Tengol K. Kplemani, thanked the minister of tourism for his assistance in making the event a success.
He stated that the Cultural Oneness Festival’s goal is to promote cultural awareness and solidarity as well as unique customs, arts, and music in the north of the country, which is frequently ignored when it comes to such high-level events.
He claimed that the festival wanted to highlight the cultural diversity present in the nation’s northern regions while also giving those areas’ tourism a unique identity.
“To us, our vision for this project is aimed at, among other things, projecting the continent’s diverse cultural heritage and identity and connecting its roots to the Diaspora and the rest of the world,” Tengol added.
