In a typical Ghanaian society, everything be it political or social is highly attributed to God’s will and for that matter comes with a spiritual relevance.
Thus, we live in a society where God is blamed not only for the blessings, happiness, wealth, health and all the good things one can think of but also for all the bad happenings in our lives, families, political dispensation and the society at large.
Interestingly, Ghanaian theologian and the founder and leader of the International Central Gospel Church, (I.G.W.C), Bishop Daniel Obinim has break silence on why Ghanaians for that matter his congregants shouldn’t attribute the recent happenings in his life to be the will of the lord.
The embattled cleric after his trial yesterday at the court, the clergyman made a serious revelation that netizens attributed him to indirectly telling Ghanaians that Kennedy Agyapong wasn’t appointed by God and is not in a battle with him that is approved by God.
Speaking from the biblical perspective, God does not appoint a president for a country (of which Ghana is not an exception), and for that matter, people or politicians can force their way into power.
He again defended his statement by saying that, God appointed Solomon to rule for his 40 years on the throne of leadership but God does not necessarily appoint all leaders.
To defend his stance of this issue, he added that, God did not appoint leaders like Jehoiakim with the sense being that, God, before appointing a king for the people of Israel, gave them the demands that will befall them.
“In the book of 1 Kings 21:25. there was no one king like Ahab, who wasn’t appointed by God and he sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the Lord, urged on by his wife.”- he said.
