Akuapem Poloo claims she moved to Kasoa because her white partner quit funding her lavish city lifestyle.

After talking to Delay, Akuapem Poloo disclosed all her exploits for fame. Offering exclusive twerk sessions for her male clients was only the beginning of her efforts to remain in the capital.

“Accra is too costly. 2-room apartment (at Dzorwulu). I leased it for 2 years for $1,000/month. I didn’t pay for it. My sponsor was an American White guy of 54. He never met me in person, but we constantly Facetime and video call on WhatsApp. We’ve split up. (So the money stopped coming).”

Akuapem Poloo went on to explain how her problems grew when Cardi B recognised her in Ghana. Her management cancelled their contract because she danced with her ‘friend’ Cardi B.

“After Cardi-B departed, my manager thought his little lady had come far. Cardi-B emerged in 2020. My boss stated he spent money on me and got nothing back… But twerking with her ruined everything,” Akuapem Poloo complained.

To earn additional cash, she offered ‘demeaning’ services to her customers and even spent time in prison.

“I learned a lot. Anything may land you in prison. And celebrity may lead you somewhere you don’t want to go. I moved to Kasoa. With my kid, mother, and myself, Accra is too costly. And I’m building myself. So that a year’s rent may purchase land and construct a house.”
