Ghana’s Minister of Communications and Digitization, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has asked the general public to join forces with the Akufo Addo gov’t to help define the country’s digital destiny for the better.
According to her, the country’s digital transformation agenda could only be achieved if everyone worked together.
Mrs Owusu-Ekuful was addressing at a cross-sect oral digitization preparedness workshop held by the ministry in Accra yesterday for a number of major government organizations.
The event aimed to bring officials from several ministries together to kick off the Ghana COVID-19 Alleviation and Revitalization of Enterprises Support (Ghana CARES) “Obaatan pa” program’s Digital Assets and Services Register and Digital Readiness Assessments activities.
The Digital Assets and Services Register is a platform that serves as a reference platform and management framework for improved access and control of all government digital assets and services.
The Digital Readiness Assessments, on the other hand, is a platform for assessing all government institutions’ digital readiness and skills gaps, as well as the implementation of the Public Sector Learning Management System.
