A direct brother of former President John Mahama has been identified by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party of being the one responsible for hiring killers from Tamale to come after his life.
Alfred Mahama, according to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako hatched the diabolical plan but little did he know his hired killers shared a mutual friend with him (Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi).
Narrating the plot on Wontumi TV last Saturday, Chairman Wontumi stated that “I was with one guy called Habib when he received a phone call. In the spur of the moment he couldn’t switch off his phone or take it off from speaker. The callers told him that Alfred Mahama had instructed people from Tamale to come and kill me.”
The Ashanti ‘Governor’ reiterated that the chilling message was delivered in his presence and added that Habib, a known member of the NDC in Ashanti region asked the callers if they would be able to kill the target they have been sent to go after.
In responding to his question, Chairman Wontumi revealed that the hired men mentioned that aside from being instructed by Mr. Alfred Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama another of former President John Mahama, feeds and sends them money regularly.
On the back of the above development, Chairman Wontumi warned former President Mahama and his brothers that if anything should happen to him, his men would also come after their lives.
“You destroyed my company and still you couldn’t do anything to bring me down… Even if my car tyre should burst, you will see what my people will come and do to you. My mum told me never to fear man and I don’t fear you…if nothing happens to me you are a free person, but if anything should happen my people would retaliate equally”, Chairman Wontumi warned the Mahama family.
