Paa George has modestly revealed that he owes his existence to the benevolence of former President John Dramani Mahama.
The veteran actor whose acting career spans over two decades said he crossed paths with the leader of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the funeral of the late Super OD.
In his words, John Mahama distributes food and cash to him and other veteran actors and actresses every three months.
“Mahama is a decent individual. I owe my current strength to him and God. He’s been so sweet since OD died and we attended to his funeral with him.
At the funeral, he met with us and a few other veteran performers and actresses, and he has taken good care of us ever since. Every three months, he brings us things such as rice and oil, along with sardines. He adds money to cover our needs for the time being.
“We meet at Mr. Mensah’s place, and he doesn’t even appear; Mr. Beautiful does it for him. He looks after us, as well as the wives of late performers.
“Even though he is no longer President, he continues to look after us. Such people deserve our gratitude. I’ve never been to his place, and I’m not really familiar with it,” he said during a recent interview on TV XYZ.”
