2014 World Cup star, James Rodriquez is close to joining Everton from Real Madrid. The Premier League club, according to reports, have agreed on a three-year deal with the player.

Real Madrid wants to sell James, whom they deem as surplus to requirement. He is not in coach Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the next season.

The 29-year-old made 14 appearances for the La Liga champions in all competitions last season.

He is on a £200,000 a week deal at Real Madrid with 12 months left on his contract, having joined in 2014.
