A 30-year-old guy called Emmanuel David is on the run from police in Benin city, Edo state, after allegedly murdering his buddy and sponsor, Fabian Antia.
As reported, the tragic catastrophe happened on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at around 5:00 PM.
In order to avoid being homeless and in debt, Emmanuel had taken up residence with Fabian and his brother.
There were a total of four of them in the flat. On Sunday, Fabian’s brothers went out, leaving him and his brother Emmanuel alone at home.
When they returned the next day, on Monday, they discovered blood traces all throughout the home, but they were unable to locate either of the suspects.
Their phone numbers were similarly unreachable, and the deceased’s phone was also unable to be discovered in any of the house’s rooms, including the hallway.
Their assumption was that they had probably fought and gotten themselves hurt; they also imagined the victim had fled the scene by car following the altercation.
However, after many hours of waiting and seeing no sign of them, they glanced through the victim’s window and found his dead corpse in the room, according to the report.
They ran to call the police, who arrived and found him dead behind closed doors in the house.
Additionally, the killer is reported to have absconded with the deceased’s personal belongings.
