The Chief Justice of The Republic of Ghana, His Lordship Kwesi Anin Yeboah, has on the advice of his doctors gone into a mandatory 14-day isolation in compliance with Coronavirus protocols.
In a communique signed by the Judicial Secretary, Cynthia Pamaale Addo, she said, “His Lordship will be working from the Chief Justice’s official residence at Cantonment.”
Earlier, the Supreme Court had adjourned sitting for all cases scheduled for hearing this week over fears of the coronavirus disease.
Background of the story
It could be recalled that some Supreme Court judges and judiciary staff tested positive for the novel coronavirus pandemic over the weekends. This called for the closure of the Supreme Court as judges were forced to isolate.
