NDC MP for Tamale Central, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed has said the entire minority caucus must shoulder the blame for the approval of President Akufo-Addo’s ministerial nominees against the interest of the NDC.
According to him, it will be hypocritical to Attempt to lay the blame on any single individual.
Murtala revealed that prior to the unceremonious approval, there was an agreement among the minority caucus that some ministerial nominees will be rejected.
According to him, some members, due to their parochial interest, stabbed the caucus in the back.
Speaking on Accra FM, he said leadership had already told them what to do, only for people to get to the floor of parliament and do something else.
Murtala, therefore, believes the attempt to blame the leadership of the minority caucus is misplaced.
The MPs statement appears to be a subtle jab at his colleague, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who tendered in his resignation from the Appointments Committee after the Approval of Ken Ofori Atta as Finance Minister.
