The wait is over as arguably the largest fashion and modelling citadel christened “Jenn Cole Design School” has been launched.
At a colourful ceremony held at the Accra Information Centre to outdoor the school, the founder of the school, Jennifer Cole disclosed the Design School is for the underprivileged females with raw talents to sew/design/model but no support nor money to pursue their dreams.
Joining the launch event via Zoom, the US-based Fashion Designer said;
“People that are underprivileged have just as much talent as those that are privileged, they just don’t have the resources they need to succeed, and if we don’t help them who will. I am a perfect example! I grew up underprivileged with people looking down on me and my family, so this goes deep for me. I know just how they feel! But with God I made it, and I will do everything in my power to help them make it!”
Launching the school website and logo, the Director of Operations for JennCole Design School Inc. Tengol K. Kplemani noted that the school is giving young females the platform to take their families worldwide and become the next household brands just like other big designers.
Themed “Dream It, Be It”, the first school will be in Ghana, Corporate office in New York with a second training facility in New York as well.
More importantly, the school will kick start in early 2021 basically to give hope and meaning in life to underprivileged females with raw talents to sew/design/model to pursue their dreams. Concerning the courses to be offered, the students will be trained in skills in fashion design and modelling.
