In another sad twist, the driver of slain Mfantseman MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford has also passed on owing to gunshot wounds he sustained during the robbery attack.
His death was confirmed by the Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Mfantseman, Dr. Nana Yaw Agyenim-Boateng.
Dr. Agyenim-Boateng who was part of the traveling contingent with the MP disclosed that he was surprised at how the whole situation escalated, revealing that every car was stopped at the scene where the lawmaker and his driver were bulleted.
He stated that the deceased legislator being a former Police Officer was well abrest and conscious with his security.
He also reiterated the call for the security agencies to move swiftly and bring all perpetrators of this heinous crime to book.
