According to the MP for Nhyiaeso Constituency, the debate over the E-levy has shown that the majority of NDC MPs are incapable of engaging in an exchange of ideas, but are more adept at boxing and slashing people with sharp tools like razors.
As a result of the E-Levy debate, Hon. Stephen Amoah disclosed that Parliament has now become a battleground, but he insisted that the majority in the house will stay steadfast and determined in their determination to get the law through.
The Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, was called out on Wontumi TV for leading the NDC party in parliament to instigate a quarrel whenever there was a discussion on the tax levied upon the people.
“The National Democratic Congress (NDC) does not care about Ghana. If they believe that passing the law would cause Ghanaians to vote against the NPP, they should go ahead and do it. Parliament is not a boxing match, and if they want to murder us, they should go ahead and do it themselves.
“If they murder us because we are Ghanaians, then that is a wonderful thing. We would be strong and steadfast in our decision to approve the law. They give the impression that Parliament is a battleground. “Exchange of ideas is not boxing; what do you achieve by hitting your colleagues and using a sword to hurt them?” says Stephen Amoah.
