Ghanaian footballer, Derrick Otim according to reports has drowned to his death in a lake in the United States of America.
Reports reveal Derrick drowned on Friday, July 3, in Lake Keowee South Carolina. He died at the age of 24.
He had recently graduated from Xavier University and is said to have been visiting friends in South Carolina before his sudden death.
Before his death, he played as a midfielder of Nottingham Forest, and Derrick Otim trained with Forest Academy before moving to America to further his education.
Lake Keowee, in 2018, was branded South Carolina’s “most deadly body of water”. 32 people has reportedly lost their lives there within 25 years.
