No debate! Sarkodie is Ghana’s rap king for the past 10 years largely due to the fact that those who are supposed to give him the toughest time in the game have been lazy ass rappers or if you like one-hit wonders – Teephlow Strongman, Eno Barony, Et Al.
And as a result, the SarkCess Music CEO keeps winning in all the areas of Ghana. Rap and beyond. But reminiscing Sarkodie’s musical career in the past 3 years, there’s something missing that his loyalists have failed to tell him but trust Realest Blogger of GHbase.Com fame to call spade a spade not a big spoon.
Thus, Sarkodie’s voice on stage just after performing two songs when listened carefully is no different from the tone of a bedridden person struggling for his life at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Simply put, Sarkodie struggles to control his breath and starts panting throughout his performance and the past three (3) Rapperholic concerts including the just-ended one can prove my assertion. And I believe any professional truth sayer will attest to this when one listens to Tema-based rapper.
The truth is, Sarkodie I know and have ardently followed his craft since 2009 wasn’t like this, therefore, something is certainly wrong somewhere I must say in reference to his voice on stage.
As an artiste or performer, clarity in your voice devoid of panting is something pivotal, therefore, it’s high time Sarkodie considered fixing his voice before he loses critical thinking music concert audiences.
I’m afraid that if he has been taking in some dry concoction or developed so much interest in licking, he should stop before his voice goes off completely. And when that happens, chances are higher that Sarkodie will abruptly retire from the music business for no critical thinking person will attend a show of an artiste whose voice fades away after performing only two (2) songs!
