Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah has expressed her displeasure at the government’s focus on trivialities like the setting of social media trends while the hard job is left undone.
According to her, the government can decide to hire people to trend most of its flagship programs on Twitter and on other social media platforms but the reality will surely expose them.
In a Twitter rant, the GhOne TV General Manager advised the government to move away from setting social media trends to doing what it was voted to do; the improving of the living standards of citizens.
This call comes on the back of the new introduction of taxes which the government has said has become necessary following the devastation the Coronavirus pandemic has caused to the economy.
Nana Aba Anamoah believes with all said and done, if the living conditions of Ghanaians do not improve, all the talks and policies nicely put forward are completely useless.
She wrote: If you engage people to trend a hashtag for you as a government, the realities on the ground will expose you. Wo W) number one on Ghana trend ntiiii??? Spend that energy on improving living standards.
