Countryman Songo, a prominent Ghanaian sports pundit and critic, has stated that Ghana’s current Black Stars team is the worst in decades.
Ghana’s Black Stars are currently competing in the African Cup of Nations and have yet to win a match in their opening two group fixtures.
Patrick Osei Agyemang claimed in a video sighted by The BBC Ghana that even if the current Black Stars side wins the AFCON, it will still be the worst squad to ever wear the nation’s uniform.
“We cannot use this team to win the African Cup of Nations.” Even if this squad wins the AFCON, it will be Ghana’s weakest team in decades.” – Countryman supplementary.
He stated that even if the present Black Stars team is handed over to the best coaches in the world, they will struggle and will not be called upon to play.
