It can be recalled that just after Yaw Tog’s breakthrough in the music industry, a lot of things were said about the chap not excluding pundits.
The appellations escalated when Yaw Tag managed to get Stormzy to remix the Sore song which garnered over a million views in the space of 3 days.
Fast forward, Nana Frimpong Ziega, a highly opinionated showbiz pundit, in the studios of Kumasi-based Angel Fm stated categorically that Yaw Tog after considering several factors is musically better than Ghana’s very own Sarkodie.
“Where Sarkodie is now, Yaw Tog has not been there… all the glitz and glamour, the platforms Sarkodie has enjoyed, Yaw Tog is yet to get those opportunities yet people are comparing Yaw Tog to Sarkodie. It is because of where Yaw Tog is heading in the music industry” Nana Frimpong Ziega explained.
“It is likely that if Yaw Tog gets to the age of Sarkodie and if he is managed well, he will go beyond the level of Sarkodie.
“Those comparing Yaw Tog to Sarkodie have done no mistake because they are not talking about awards and who is big but they are talking about music and musically Yaw Tog is better than Sarkodie”, Nana Frimpong Ziega added.
But like a year after Ziega had made this bold statement, Yaw Tog’s music career has not sprouted as envisaged by the showbiz pundit as well as music enthusiasts.
